Samsung Electronics created S Health as a mobile application to assist with tracking and managing health and fitness data for its users. Since its initial release with its Galaxy S4 smartphone in 2013, updates and improvements have been implemented over time.
S Health offers users a host of features to track physical activity, nutrition, sleep quality and other key health metrics. It's compatible with wearable devices, including Samsung's Galaxy Watch and Gear Fit wearables as well as popular fitness trackers such as Fitbit.
Key features of the app include its ability to track and log various types of physical activity, such as running, cycling, and swimming. Furthermore, it can measure users' heart rates and recommend workout programs based on their fitness levels and goals. Furthermore, the app offers a food diary feature enabling users to log their meals and track calorie consumption.
Over time, Samsung's S Health app has changed to incorporate additional features and integrations. In 2015, Cigna and Samsung joined forces to provide access to health and wellness resources directly through the app. By 2018, however, a revised version was unveiled as Samsung Health which expanded capabilities further while more tightly integrating with other Samsung products and services.
Today, Samsung users remain keen to utilize the S Health app as one of their go-to choices when it comes to managing and improving their health and fitness. Boasting user-friendly, user-friendly features and integration with other Samsung products and services, S Health remains a significant player in the mobile health and fitness market.
